Neymar will miss the game vs Inter Miami with an injury

Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami colleagues arrived in Saudi Arabia in advance of their Riyadh Season Cup matches against Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

Early on Friday morning, pictures of the Major League Soccer team landing in Riyadh surfaced on social media. The players also shared a brief video of themselves being greeted at King Khalid International Airport with flowers and Arabic coffee.

The game between Miami and Real Madrid on Monday is titled “The Last Dance,” a reference to the long-standing rivalry involving Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Miami will play Real Madrid on Thursday.

How far can Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets go at Inter Miami? When these former FC Barcelona stars gather in South Florida for the 2024 MLS season.

It is likely the most important thing to ask. Naturally, Suárez didn’t join the group until this winter, following the arrival of Messi, Busquets, and Alba in July of last year, when they helped Inter Miami go from near obscurity to the 2023 Leagues Cup title and a Concacaf Champions Cup berth.

As excitement grows, attention is also focused on how new players Nicolás Freire and Julian Gressel complement the team. In addition, there’s an early setback due to an ACL injury sustained by Facundo Farías, as well as tactical and roster issues to resolve.

Al Hilal has won 66 trophies in all categories, making them the most decorated club team in Asia. At the top of the Saudi Pro League standings right now, they look set to improve on their past victories.

The great forward from Brazil, Neymar, who went on to compete with Messi at PSG, will not play due to an ACL tear sustained last autumn. In addition, two players who will be participating in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations are centre defender Kalidou Koulibaly of Senegal and goalie Yassine Bounou of Morocco.

Even yet, Al Hilal have plenty of star power because they have expensive acquisitions from European leagues in midfielders Rúben Neves and Sergej Milinković-Savić playing beside attacker Aleksandar Mitrović. They also have two more Brazil internationals, winger Malcom and left defender Renan Lodi.
