Alphonso Davies has verbally agreed to join Real Madrid

Andy Robertson, a left-back for Liverpool, is reportedly a target for Bayern Munich.

The Scotland international is reportedly at the top of the list of contenders to take Alphonso Davies’ place at Bayern, who is anticipated to sign a deal with Real Madrid this summer.Although Bayern are aware that luring Robertson away from Anfield would be extremely difficult, they are determined to find a superior substitute and have high expectations. Robertson, who cost a steal of £8 million when he transferred from Hull City to Liverpool in 2017, is a highly regarded member of the team and has been essential to Jurgen Klopp’s success.Bayern have been gathering information on left-backs worldwide and is aware that Davies will probably leave the team.

Robertson will turn thirty next month, but Bayern think that he would provide them with Davies’ energy and poise down the left-hand flank. They also think that this summer would be a good time to determine if the Scot could adapt to a new challenge.Robertson, who has played for Liverpool for almost 280 games and won every major award, has two years left on his contract but, like a few other players, is getting close to the point where negotiations over his future are likely to take place.

Although Klopp has been careful to emphasise that he thinks many of his players will still want to stay at the club, his impending departure could change the situation for some players.

Liverpool is currently in the process of selecting the next inspiring leader, but they won’t make numerous adjustments until they have a new coach and sporting director in place.

With the announcement that Thomas Tuchel is also leaving this summer and Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso in the running for both clubs, Bayern will have an even bigger task rebuilding their roster.
