Bayern Munich looking at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer & Zinedine Zidane as potential Thomas Tuchel replacement

Bayern are eight points adrift of first place Bayern Leverkusen

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Zinedine Zidane are reported being considered by Bayern Munich as possible successors to Thomas Tuchel.

After a string of disappointing performances that saw Bayern fall eight points short of Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table, Tuchel has been under pressure at Bayern. Although Tuchel will continue to lead for the time being, Sky Germany reports that the Bavarian powerhouses are considering possible successors.

In the event that Tuchel is unable to finish the season, Solskjaer has surfaced as a viable interim option. Another manager the team is reportedly considering is Zidane.

After losses to Leverkusen, Lazio, and Bochum hurt their chances of winning a championship this year, Tuchel decided to give his players some time off before some crucial games in an attempt to turn things around.

Following their shocking loss to Bochum, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen stated that the team would not fire Tuchel, but he did not go so far as to say that the coach had the club’s complete backing.

As Real Madrid’s manager, Zidane amassed 11 trophies, three of which were Champions League crowns.

Next up for Bayern are RB Leipzig, and a loss will put further strain on Tuchel. The second leg of the Bavarians’ Champions League last 16 matchup against Lazio is played at home before they take on SC Freiburg. The first leg in Italy has seen Tuchel’s team lose 1-0.

When asked if Tuchel would be in charge of Bayern’s upcoming encounter against RB Leipzig, the CEO of Bayern, Jan Christian Dreesen, responded, “Of course.” Horrible coach-backing claims are not my thing; they usually lose their appeal after a week.
