Carlo Ancelotti ‘wants’ Luka Modric to join Real Madrid backroom staff

Luka Modric’s contract expires at the end of the season
September is Real Madrid icon Luka Modric’s 39th birthday. Football players consider giving up on the game and moving on with their lives at that age.
Carlo Ancelotti, the Croatian’s mentor, reportedly presented one of these choices to Ramon Alvarez de Mona. If Luka Modric chooses to retire, the Italian has extended an invitation for him to become a member of his coaching staff.
The 38-year-old midfielder is said to have appreciated the opportunity and will give it some thought, but he is now adamant about pursuing a football career.
As we previously stated, Modric will depart Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer after opting not to extend his contract with the royal club. De Mon continues, saying he prefers the first option—continuing his career in Saudi Arabia or the United States.
It’s interesting to note that the reporter notes that the experienced midfield player first turned down Ancelotti’s invitation to become a member of his coaching staff, albeit the rejection did not appear to be a “definitive no,” raising the possibility that he would change his mind.
Although a lot has been spoken about Modric, whose Real Madrid contract expires at the end of the current campaign, Ancelotti has previously stated that only he will decide whether or not to extend it.

It is reported that this offer to Modric is unrelated to the choices made by Francesco Mauri and Davide Ancelotti, the assistant managers. Take note that both declined a large offer from Saudi Arabia in January, demonstrating their dedication to the present coaching team.
Speaking anonymously to protect relationships, insiders have revealed that Modric is still open to thinking about taking on the coaching position. The 38-year-old midfielder is now anticipated to be keen to play and to prioritise his desire to compete, though.
Based on the season’s developments thus far, Modric’s extension with Real Madrid appears improbable, and as of yet, no firm decision has been made.
