Fans were chanting Messi’s name which prompted Cristiano Ronaldo to make such a gesture
After provoking Al Shabab followers with an X-rated gesture over the weekend, rumours state that Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for two matches.
When Al Nassr defeated Al Shabab 3-2 on Sunday, the 39-year-old scored the game’s first goal from the penalty spot, much to the annoyance of the opposing fans.Throughout the match, home supporters at the stadium in Riyadh chanted the name of Lionel Messi, their professional opponent, in an apparent attempt to frighten Ronaldo.
Talisca, a Brazilian striker, won the match in the 86th minute, adding a brace to Ronaldo’s penalty kick to give Al Nassr a crucial Saudi Pro League victory. At the sound of the final whistle, Ronaldo moved away from the team’s celebrations and put his hand to his ear before indicating his crotch, seemingly pointing at the spectator fans.
After Ronaldo’s conduct received criticism, the Saudi Pro League’s disciplinary authority decided to look into his behaviour.
