Bayern Munich are likely to enter the summer 2024 transfer window for a new left-back. There are reports that the German club could be cashing in on their Canadian full-back, Alphonso Davies.

According to Florian Plettenberg, FC Bayern are eyeing a move for AC Milan‘s flying full-back, Theo Hernandez. The 26-year-old is the younger brother of their former player Lucas Hernandez.

Sky Sports further added, that the German giants are already looking for Davies’ possible replacement. He is on the radar of Real Madrid. However, nothing concrete at this stage and there are no negotiations going on at this point among the two parties.

Alphonso Davies is one of the biggest transfer targets for Real Madrid next summer. They are willing to pay around €40 million to €50 million. Personal terms between the two parties are not an issue. The report further says that FC Bayern are expecting his sale rather than extending his contract beyond 2025.

Theo Hernandez is one of the best left-back in the world. He started his career at Atletico Madrid, before joining their rivals Real Madrid in 2017. In 2019, the French international was signed by AC Milan.

The 26-year-old has over 150 Serie A appearances and won the Scudetto in the 2021-22 season. He was also a part of France’s FIFA World Cup 2022 squad that reached the final of the competition.

Lucas Hernandez was a part of the German club from 2019 to 2023. Last summer, he joined Ligue 1 champions PSG. Both brothers are very highly rated in world football.

The Bavarians will have a new manager next summer after Thomas Tuchel decided to part ways with the club at the end of the season. There will be some changes in the camp and they will wait before making a move for any player.
