Ange Postecoglou provides Tottenham Hotspur injury news ahead of the match

Prior to their matchup with Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotpur have suffered yet another setback to their injury list as Richarlison sustained a knee injury against Wolves last time out, ruling him out for around three weeks.

Beginning with the Eagles’ visit on Saturday, Heung-min Son, the skipper of Spurs and an effective up-front player earlier in the season, is expected to take Richarlison’s position as Ange Postecoglou’s main attacking target.

Timo Werner, Brennan Johnson, and Dejan Kulusevski will probably fight for the two wide spots in the front three.

Emerson Royal will probably stay at right-back since Pedro Porro is still a week away from starting to work again. However, Destiny Udogie has resumed training and is expected to play on the left side of defence after missing the 2-1 loss against Wolves.

In the middle of the field where Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, and Rodrigo Bentancur are vying for two spots, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oliver Skipp, and Giovani Lo Celso are all contenders, Postecoglou must make a choice.

Following another hamstring surgery earlier in the week, Ryan Sessegnon will not be available again this season, and Manor Solomon is still a ways off from being able to return to training due to a number of issues with his own surgical recovery.

“Richarlison is out for three to four weeks. He picked up a bit of a knee injury in the last game.,” said the Australian. “Ryan [Sessegnon] had a bit of a setback

He added: “With Richy, it’s disappointing, he’s been a key contributor, how our season has gone, get one back and lose one. Sess is a tough one, it’s through no fault of his own, worked hard to come back.

“It’s always challenging when happens as series of events and he hasn’t had any reward for all his hard work of rehab in terms of getting out there to play. He will get the support he needs, he’s had surgery, he’s a positive guy and he’s been through this before so hopefully that helps.”
