Biggest lessons from Crystal Palace vs Nottingham:
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere
1. Crystal Palace fight back after early shock
Nottingham Forest did not waste any time. It turned out to be a dream start for them. Dan Ndoye fired the ball into the back of the net in just three minutes, helping the visitors with a one-goal cushion.
However, Crystal Palace refused to give up. Daichi Kamada and Jefferson Lerma helped the Eagles take the lead after scoring a goal each in the final moments of the first half. Yeremy Pino made it 3-1 in the second half.
This comeback speaks a lot about Palace’s ability to perform under pressure.
2. Missed chances cost Nottingham Forest
The Oliver Glasner-led side did take an early lead, but later on failed to capitalise on the chances in the final third. They came up with a total of 24 shots on target, but only managed to score one goal. Nottingham Forest will now look to fix this issue moving forward, or it could become a regular problem for them.
Due to their missed chances, the visitors failed to put pressure on Palace.
3. Daichi Kamada and Jefferson Lerma inspire Palace’s comeback
Daichi Kamada has been one of the most consistent performers for Crystal Palace this season. He showed that once again today. The 30-year-old scored an equaliser for his side in the 41st minute.
Just a few moments later, the Eagles were up ahead as Jefferson Lerma fired the ball into the back of the net in 45+4′. Both of these midfielders played a crucial role in staging Palace’s comeback.
4. Yéremi Pino seals it for the Eagles
The 23-year-old put the match firmly out of reach in the 58th minute, scoring Palace’s third and helping them seal the three points. Yéremi Pino reacted quickest to a rebound from goalkeeper Matz Sels. He finished the opportunity to give the Eagles breathing space.
5. Oliver Glasner’s return ends in disappointment

The Austrian manager returned to Selhurst Park to face his former club. He enjoyed considerable success with Palace and then moved to become the head coach for Nottingham Forest. Oliver Glasner’s return ended in defeat.
His Forest side struggled to make their early advantage count. The Tricky Trees also saw a defensive collapse. This raises concerns as they struggle to maintain consistency early in the campaign.
