FC Bardez ready for Derby against Calangute Association

The two teams renew rivalries in the Goa Pro League tomorrow…
It’s the Bardez derby all over against as Calangute Association will be going up against FC Bardez Goa in the Goa Pro League tomorrow at Duler Stadium. Calangute will be looking to hit back with a win after they lost their first game with FC Bardez 3-0 in the Goa Police Cup Final. The opposition are in good form as they beat Sao Minguel De Taleigao with a narrow margin. Meanwhile, Bardez got their campaign up and running follow a dramatic win against Churchill Brothers last time out. The possible Starting XI for FC Bardez- (GK)Mirshad K , (LB) Jessel Carneiro (RB) Lenstan Afonso (CB) Rowilson Rodrigues, Mathew Gonsalves , (LW) Alesh Sawant, (RW) Girish Naik, (CM) Peter Carvahlo, Richard Costa, (ST) Latesh Mandraker , Kiritikesh Gadekar. Valerio Rodrigues will be one of the of the players to watch for FCBG. He has good skill and has a powerful shot, the last time both these teams played each other he created [problems coming off the bench. Speaking tin the lead up to the game FC Bardez Head Coach Armando Colaco said, ”We were in a rhythm. We were playing well but this gap has affected us because we lost the first game. we did not play the 2nd game well against Churchill yet we still won, We had a long break because of Ganesh Chaturthi, I hope the boys regroup and start playing, I want them to play well and the rest will automatically come “. Right Back Lenston Afonso added, ”The team is working hard day in and out. Teamwork will help us get all 3 points. We have beaten Calangute in the Goa Police Cup Final, but this is a new game, anything can happen, as they have an organised and a good team.
