Sesa FA beat YC Manora in eight-goal thriller in Goa Pro League

The academy side scored five goals in the game on Sunday afternoon.
Sesa FA produced a fine display against YC Manora to seal the win and take home three points in the Selvel Goa Pro League on Sunday. The scorecard at full time read 5-3 in favour of Sesa FA at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa, Goa. The academy side scored all of their five goals in the first half, while the Manora netted thrice in the send half.
Sesa FA kick-started their onslaught in the 10th minute, when Aman played a long ball from his own half to teammate Omkar. The latter controlled the ball brilliantly and fired a shot past the YC Manora goalkeeper to make it 1-0 for his side.

They doubled their lead in the 22nd minute. This time it was Vishnu Gosavi, who upon entering the area saw Rizbon unmarked and floated a perfect delivery to the youngster who nodded home from close-range.
YC Manora were totally outplayed in the first session as Sesa FA netted their third goal at the half-hour mark. Vishnu sent in a cross from the right flank to an unmarked Myron Pereira who easily put the ball past the keeper. Aniston tried keeping the ball out, but he couldn’t do much.
In the 36th minute, Aman Rajbhar scored after covering some distance and beating his marker. The scorecard then read 4-0 in favour of the academy side, who later scored their fifth and final goal before the half-time whistle. This time, they capitalised on a defensive error as YC Manora 'keeper Bradman Dongkarkar failed to control a back pass. Rizbon won the ball and converted his shot.

Manora were much better in the second half and they took just five minutes to score after the second half began. The goal came from a set-piece, as Aniston Fernandes whipped in a delivery from the right flank. Rajinder then made no mistake in heading home from close range.
Manora then scored their second within a minute. Eldon Colaco was the scorer this time. Later, Joywin Carneiro netted the third goal for them by taking advantage of a defensive lapse from Sesa FA.
