Mumbai FC continue their travels as they head south to take on reigning champions Bengaluru FC at Kanteerava Stadium on Wednesday.
The Mumbaikars come into this game on the back of two successive wins at the start of the season and will look to build on the momentum at a ground where they have happy memories.
Talking to the media boss Santosh Kashyap sounded positive. “Great start for us in the I-League. Our players have put in their best efforts and the team is high on confidence.”
Kashyap is now targeting a top three finish. “I have great respect for Bengaluru FC. We are going to meet the strongest opponent. I Believe tomorrow’s match is going to be a championship match for us,” he added.
Mumbai will take the field sans foreigners, owing to transfer formalities which are yet to be completed.
Kashyap is content with his current batch, “I believe in Indian players and they have responded positively in such a short span of time. Boys have been fantastic at home as well as away matches.”
