The club brings in yet another new player ahead of the next season.
Sreenidhi Deccan FC have completed the signing of MC Malsawmzuala, the club announced Saturday. The I-League debutants have been busy in the transfer market trying to give shape and add steel to their squad. They will play in the second tier of Indian football from the 2021-22 season onwards, starting later this year.
MC Malsawmzuala, formerly of Aizawl FC, will join his new club with an aim to score a lot of goals for them. The striker has prior experience of playing in the I-League and will look to add to the two goals and an assist he has from 13 appearances so far in the league.

A fresher in the I-League
The 27-year-old previously played for Chhinga Veng FC who feature in the Mizoram Premier League (MPL). He moved to Aizawl FC in January 2020 to play in the I-League. He scored his first goal in a 2-0 victory over Gokulam Kerala FC and the second came in a 2-1 victory against NEROCA FC.
The striker has also played in the I-League Second Division.
Quality player
Sreenidhi Deccan FC are bringing in a player who is quick and has an eye to find spaces behind the defensive line. He will use his tenacity to cause trouble to the opposition defenders and make space for the wingers by dropping deep.

Furthermore, MC Malsawmzuala is a good finisher as well. If he receives good service, then one can expect a lot of goals from him.
Another new inductee
Malsawmzuala joins a long list of players who have come in at SDFC for their debut season. Among the arrivals, some notable names include Ubaid CK, Shibil Mohammed and Lalromawia from GKFC, Dinesh Singh from TRAU FC and Suraj Rawat from Mohammedan SC.
Head coach Fernando Santiago Varela has been on a shopping spree before the I-League commences. The former boss of Gokulam Kerala and Churchill Brothers has been using his knowledge of Indian football to bring in young and exciting players. The factor of the unknown could go either way for SDFC when the next season starts. Tentatively, I-league is set to start in mid-December.
