Bengaluru FC have not conceded a single goal in the competition so far.

Bengaluru FC continued their undefeated streak in the new Indian Super League (ISL) season, having secured ten points in four opening fixtures. Renedy Singh took the responsibilty in the absense of Gerard Zaragoza.

After starting the season with a perfect winning streak against formidable opponents like East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, and Hyderabad FC, Bengaluru FC earned a hard-fought draw against Mumbai City FC in their first away game.

Despite a slow start in the initial 30 minutes, Bengaluru found their rhythm after the water break and managed to dictate the pace for much of the match. Coach Renedy Singh emphasized the significance of securing a point against a strong Mumbai City side on their home turf, expressing satisfaction with the draw.

Renedy Singh’s take on Gurpreet

Renedy Singh said, “I think it’s a very important point. We have finished as a better side in the match against a tough opponent like Mumbai City FC. We could have got a goal at any point in the match. After just three days of break, I see it as a very vital one point.”

He singled out Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, praising his leadership and efficiency in organizing the team’s defence. Sandhu’s commanding presence has been instrumental in Bengaluru’s defensive success, as they are yet to concede a single goal this season.

Renedy Singh said, “Gurpreet is a guy who has been doing well for this club for a long time. He did well, keeping his fourth clean sheet. He is one of the leaders in the team.”

Throughout the game, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was a wall under the bars. He kept clean sheets in all four games for Bengaluru FC. In these four games, he has 13 saves under his name 100 save percentage.

His fourth consecutive clean sheet underscores the resilience of Bengaluru FC’s backline, even against strong attacking sides like Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City FC.

Renedy Singh remains optimistic about the team’s trajectory, believing that Bengaluru FC are poised for continued success in the upcoming fixtures.

With such a solid defensive foundation and strong team cohesion, Bengaluru FC are shaping up to be a strong contender for the ISL Shield and securing a ticket to Asian club football.
