Which ISL clubs have won Durand Cup?

NorthEast United FC won back-to-back Durand Cup titles.
Many Indian Super League (ISL) clubs have tested their fate & looked forward to proving their worth in Asia’s oldest tournament, which contains 135 years of rich footballing legacy intact with its roots, and as the Durand Cup 2026 quarter final games are getting closer than usual, all eight teams need to focus on their game and clinch the title.
SC Delhi, Jamshedpur FC, NorthEast United FC, East Bengal FC & the record Durand Cup-holding side Mohun Bagan are the five ISL clubs who will be in the quarter-finals along with I-League 2 outfit FC Raengdai, IFL side Shillong Lajong FC & service club Indian Army FT. From that perspective, the 135th edition of the competition might see another ISL club lift the prestigious title either for the first time or for any other club to look to defend their title.
All the ISL clubs made their debut in 2019 at the 129th edition of the Durand Cup when some selected ISL teams participated for the very first time following the venue shifting to Kolkata. And FC Goa became the first ever Indian Super League (ISL) side to lift the Durand Cup title and made their name in Durand’s history book after they defeated Mohammedan SC 1-0 in 2021.
And from that day, various ISL clubs have grown their presence in the Durand Cup as Bengaluru FC, Mohun Bagan SG & NorthEast United FC all bagged the title for the first time as ISL clubs.
FC Goa – 2021

FC Goa beat Mohammedan SC in a very narrow match where both teams played in a compact manner, and Gaurs captain Edu Bedia saved the day after scoring the sole winning goal for his side when the Goan side managed to get past the Black Panthers 1-0. And after he scored, FC Goa became the first ever Indian Super League (ISL) side to bag the Durand Cup’s 129th edition, which led many other league clubs to improve their structure to play in both competitions.
They created history with the title and marked their name securing the prestigious tournament on 3rd October, 2021 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata. Captain of the Gaurs Edu Bedia scored the winning goal in the 105th minute during the extra time of the match in front of 34,000 spectators.
Bengaluru FC – 2022

The Blues won the Durand Cup in the 130th edition after the crown had settled in Goa’s head, and beating Mumbai City FC 2-1 to clinch their maiden Durand title was not an easy task for them and with that win over the Islanders, they rewrote history for their club. Goals from Siva Sakthi in the 10th minute and Alan Costa’s 61st minute strike was enough to help Bengaluru lift the crown. Apuia got the lone goal for the Mumbai side in an entertaining match.
A great night to remember for the Bengaluru FC boys as they proved every aspect of their team after thrashing Des Buckingham’s side at the Salt Lake Stadium. After the win over Mumbai, it reflects that ISL clubs have the ability to play in cup competitions along with the Indian Super League.

In the penalties, NorthEast United FC secured their maiden Durand title.
And talking about the next time they face Diamond Harbour FC, where they have powered past the Kolkata side with a score line of 6-1, relying on Asheer Akhtar, Parthib Gogoi Thoi Singh, Alaeddine Ajaraie, Andy Rodriguez & Jairo’s goals and defended their crown for the first time in 2025.
