FC Goa to host Ronaldo's Al Nassr on October 22; check complete ACL 2 fixtures

FC Goa will start their ACL 2 campaign against Iraq’s Al Zawraa SC in a home fixture.

The stage is set. The dates have been fixed. FC Goa fans should start gearing up for what is going to be a rollercoaster ride. The schedule for the AFC Champions League Two fixtures is out. FC Goa will start their campaign on September 17, against Al Zawraa SC, at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.

The biggest talking point of FC Goa’s ACL 2 schedule of fixtures is their game against Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr on 22nd October. This will be a home fixture, which means a star-studded Al Nassr side will touch down in India to play in front of the Indian fans. It remains to be seen whether Ronaldo will come to India or not, but the grandeur of the occasion remains intact nevertheless.

Challenging set of matches for the Gaurs

FC Goa have been drawn in a tough group with some of the best Asian sides ready to put the Indian club to the test. The Gaurs are in Group D alongside Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, Tajik league champions FC Istiklol, and Al Zawraa SC from Iraq.

Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa will start the ACL 2 group stage with a home fixture against Al Zawraa on the 17th of next month. After a short breather, the Gaurs will travel to Tajikistan to play FC Istiklol. The Tajik team has finished as runners-up of the tournament in 2015 and 2017.

FC Goa to play Al Nassir twice in span of two weeks

After a gap of almost twenty days, FC Goa will play arguably the biggest match in their club history. The Goan side will lock horns with Al Nassr FC on October 22 at their home. For the football fans in India, this will be an opportunity of a lifetime to watch players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Joao Felix, Inigo Martinez, and Aymeric Laporte play in front of them.

The next match in the group stage will also be against Al Nassr on November 5, 2025. But this will be an away fixture, and FC Goa will travel to Saudi Arabia. This fixture has a higher likelihood of Cristiano Ronaldo featuring in it since he skips overseas fixtures. Following this, Goa will cap off their group stage campaign with matches against Al Zawraa (away) and FC Istiklol (home).
