East Bengal FC vs FC Goa: All time Head-to-Head record in ISL

East Bengal FC have beaten FC Goa just once in the ISL!
Indian football fans will have a big-ticket fixture on their screens on Thursday, and the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata hosts the game between East Bengal FC and FC Goa. Both sides are amongst the favorites to win the Indian Super League title and have had a decent start to their respective campaigns.
At the helm are two Spanish managers, Manolo Marquez of FC Goa and Oscar Bruzon of East Bengal. The home side is coming into the game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Jamshedpur FC, whereas the Gaurs pipped SC Delhi 1-0 last Thursday and are unbeaten in the league so far.
Can East Bengal FC turn the tables on FC Goa?

The two clubs first met in 2018 in the semifinal of the AIFF Super Cup, where East Bengal were victorious. Dudu Omagbemi tapped home the only goal of the game as the Red and Gold Brigade won 1-0 on that evening.
However, since then, the Kolkata club has not had a very memorable record against FC Goa.
Since coming into the ISL in 2020, the Red and Gold brigade have played ten games against FC Goa. The 2020-21 season saw the clubs play out 1-1 draws in the two league fixtures.
Whereas, in the 2021-22 season, both sides tasted a victory each behind closed doors.
However, post-COVID, the Moshal boys have been utterly dominated by FC Goa. The Gaurs have done the double over the Red and Gold Brigade in each of the last three seasons and have never dropped a point against East Bengal at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata.
Earlier this season, both FC Goa and the Torchbearers performed brilliantly and reached the final of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26. The match was intense, and both defenses stood strong throughout the whole game and through extra time to take the game to penalties after it ended 0-0 after 120 minutes.
Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa would eventually beat East Bengal 6-5 in the shootout to retain their crown, leaving the Kolkata club to lick its wounds and fight another day.
Now that they have turned a leaf and have built a competitive squad, is this finally East Bengal’s chance to exact some revenge on the Gaurs?
