Punjab FC target first ISL win of the season as Jamshedpur FC stand in their way

Jamshedpur FC head into this clash on the back of a hard-fought win over Mohammedan SC in their previous outing.
The Steel City of Jamshedpur gears up to host its second game of the season as home team Jamshedpur FC lock horns against Punjab FC in a thrilling contest.
The Red Miners are coming after a 1-0 narrow win over Mohammedan in the last game and would be keen to extend their winning streak to two.
Punjab FC, on the other hand, saw their season opener get postponed against Odisha FC. The Shers did not have a good time at the Furnace so far, and with Panagiotis Dilmperis at the helm, the North Indian outfit won’t leave any stone unturned to clinch a win over the Red Miners.
The Stakes
Jamshedpur FC
It took French magician Madih Talal just nine minutes to break the deadlock in front of the home fans at the Furnace.
They controlled the possession throughout the game and had 3 shots on target. Owen Coyle tried a different formation and tactical style, pushing Pronay in the right back position.
Rei Tachikawa played in the Centre forward position, and Nikhil Barla and Sanan have been critical from the flanks.
It will be interesting to see if Coyle will stick to the same formation or make slight changes in the upcoming game against Punjab FC.
Punjab FC

Punjab enters the new season with just five foreign players. Muhammad Uvais will be back at the Furnace and will be up against familiar faces.
There will be lots of hope and expectations from their young guns, especially the likes of Pramveer, Lhungdim and Suhail.
Dilmperis will be hoping to see the Nigerian duo of Osuji and Effiong go all guns blazing in the Furnace.
Brazilian defender Pablo Santos will be paired with Pramveer at the back, whereas Ramirez and Zelkovic will be eager to dominate the midfield.
Team News
There are no injury concerns in the Jamshedpur FC camp. Similarly, Dilmperis will also have the luxury to pick his best combination of players from a fully fit and available side.

Players to watchout
Madih Talal (Jamshedpur FC)

The French talisman has plied his trade with teams like Amiens and has played in the French top-flight Ligue 1.
He will be up against his former side, Punjab FC, where he had really good memories and will be up against familiar faces when Punjab faces Jamshedpur.
He scored the first goal for JFC this season when it took him just nine minutes to open his scoring account.
The former East Bengal midfielder will be looking forward to scoring against his former side.
Muhammed Uvais (Punjab FC)
It will be nostalgic for Uvais when he returns to the Furnace, where he will be up against his former side, Jamshedpur FC.
He is a crucial player for Dilmperis on the left flank, and his acceleration from the wings can trouble Pronay, who is not too fast to match Uvais’ speed.
Uvais has played for Gokulam Kerala and Jamshedpur FC before making a move to Punjab FC. After a not-so-impressive campaign in the Durand Cup and Super Cup, he will be keen to have a memorable ISL season.
