Fatorda Stadium is all set to welcome the Capital side of ISL

FC Goa and Sporting Club Delhi, two footballing sides with two completely different philosophies and playing styles, will now take on each other for three important victory points from the Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 clash.

As this clash in the beginning stage of this competition will surely be an exciting one to consider as both of the sides are yet to manage a win from the very start of the tournament.

Goa’s home Fatorda Stadium are all set to welcome the Capital side of the ISL, Sporting Club Delhi (SC Delhi), when Gouramangi Singh’s FC Goa will lock horns against them on Wednesday, 28th October, 2026, from 19:30 IST.

Both sides look to secure their first victory in this season

What made this fixture very important from both clubs’ perspectives? While SC Delhi tasted two heavy defeats in their two back-to-back games against ISL FC Goa, on the other hand, they picked up a stalemate when they faced another southern side, Chennaiyin FC, in their season opener.

So the task is to pluck all three points from this tie, as they are hosting a Delhi-based club with a presumed supporter base, which might give the Gaurs an extra morale boost in this tough situation where they bowed out of the AFC Challenge League campaign after they lost 2 games out of their 3 total games.

After a great Durand Cup 2026 season where SC Delhi impressed every football fan in India with their great brand of football, but in the ISL 2026-27 season after few games, they have not been able to manage to get positive results under their belt and also have not secured winning points, which has kept them at the very bottom of the points table.

Meanwhile, against a team like Goa at home will be a tricky tie, and the Delhi side will look to build a strong defensive core out there to manage to prevent the attacking transitions of the Gaurs using Chiki and Jorge Ortiz as their main weapons.
