ISL: Active players with the most appearances for each Indian Super League club

Sunil Chhetri leads the list with the most appearances for a single club.
The Indian Super League (ISL) completed eleven years since its inception with the completion of the 2024-25 season. What started with just eight teams is now a thirteen-team affair. The league has evolved through leaps and bounds in the last eleven years and has transformed the landscape of Indian Football in every possible way.
Transfers and player acquisitions have become a key part of the game today. While a lot of players have changed sides in the league over the years, a few players have chosen loyalty over everything.
These players have formed a bond beyond the pitch with the clubs and its people. In this article, we take a look at the list of current players with the most appearances for each ISL club.
Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC) – 166 appearances

Sunil Chhetri holds the record for the most ISL appearances by any player for a single club. Chhetri is Bengaluru FC’s most capped player till date and has 166 ISL caps under his belt along with an ISL trophy. The skipper has found the back of the net 68 times in the process while registering 14 assists. The 40-year-old is the all-time record goalscorer in the ISL and has broken multiple records in the process.
Seriton Fernandes (FC Goa) – 140 appearances
Seriton Fernandes is FC Goa’s longest-serving player in the Indian top flight and has not represented any other ISL club to date.. Fernandes has been a part of FC Goa’s setup since 2017 and has established himself as one of the core players for the club. The 32-year-old has also captained the side on multiple occasions and has won two Super Cup titles, one ISL League shield and the Durand Cup as well.
Subhasish Bose (Mohun Bagan SG) – 115 appearances

The Indian international has played the most number of games for Mohun Bagan in the ISL and has been with them since their entry into the top flight. Bose has turned up on 115 occasions for the Mariners and has been a solid presence at the back for them. He has been a reliable asset for the Kolkata giants and has made notable contributions on both ends of the pitch, including 12 goal contributions.
Mehtab Singh (Mumbai City FC) – 92 appearances
Mehtab Singh is Mumbai City FC’s most capped player in their current squad. Known for his accurate ball distribution and robust defending skills, Mehtab has climbed up the ladder to become one of the main defenders for both India and Mumbai City FC. The 27-year-old was roped in by the Islanders in the summer of 2020 and has gone on to play 92 games for them since then while scoring five goals.
Carlos Delgado (Odisha FC) – 79 appearances
Odisha FC have experienced a lot of changing and chopping over the years, but Carlos Delgado has managed to hold his position. The Spanish defender arrived in India on loan to the erstwhile Delhi Dynamos FC before signing a permanent deal with the Juggernauts. Delgado returned to the ISL for his second stint with Odisha FC and was handed the captain’s armband. He has made 79 appearances for the Bhubaneswar based side while scoring one goal.
Mahesh Naorem (East Bengal FC) – 78 appearances
India’s magical maestro Mahesh Naorem Singh is currently East Bengal’s most capped player in the ISL. Mahesh signed a deal with the Red and Golds in 2022 after a loan spell in the previous season. He earned a lot of praise and appreciation for his exceptional display in the middle of the park for East Bengal, which helped him get into the national team. His movements with the ball make him a treat to watch. In 78 games, Mahesh has registered 20 goal contributions.
Seiminlen Doungel (Jamshedpur FC) – 75 appearances
Seiminlen Doungel has been one of the longest-standing players in the ISL. He has represented a lot of clubs, but seems to have found a home at Jamshedpur FC. Len Doungel has played 75 games for the Red Miners in 2021. He was first loaned out to the Jharkhand-based club in 2021 and earned a permanent contract with his heroics on the pitch. The 31-year-old can operate across various positions and has earned seven goal contributions in the process.
Adrian Luna (Kerala Blasters FC) – 75 appearances

Kerala Blasters’ all-time favourite Adrian Luna is their longest-serving player in their current squad. The Uruguayan has become the messiah for the Blasters and has developed a very personal connection with the club and its fans. Luna’s extraordinary creative skills, coupled with his leadership attributes, make him an invaluable asset. He has 13 goals and 23 assists in 75 ISL appearances to date.
Redeem Tlang (NorthEast United FC) – 70 appearances
NorthEast United’s very own Redeem Tlang is their highest-capped player in the league. Redeem hails from Shillong and is a local lad, which makes this milestone even more special. He started his career with the Highlanders before moving out to FC Goa and then Odisha FC, but has again returned to where he belongs. Tlang has always been an integral part of NorthEast United’s set up and has five goal contributions in 70 outings.
Abdul Rabeeh (Hyderabad FC) – 63 appearances
Abdul Rabeeh has been a mainstay for Hyderabad FC in the last few seasons and has gone on to become the most capped player in their current team. Rabeeh is a talent to watchout for and can make a big name for himself in Indian Football if nurtured properly. He ranks among the top ten players with the most number of caps for the Nizams. The youngster can play across multiple positions on the right flank and has four assists to show for his efforts.
Vincy Barretto (Chennaiyin FC) – 52 appearances
In just three seasons, Vincy Barretto has established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet. The Goan forward is known for his lightning-quick speed and his ability to turn the game on its head. Vincy joined forces with the Marina Machans in 2022 and has made 52 ISL appearances since then while scoring five goals. The forward recorded his best ever numbers in the 2024-25 season by registering five goal contributions.
Nikhil Prabhu (Punjab FC) – 41 appearances
Nikhil Prabhu is Punjab FC’s longest-serving player in the ISL. Prabhu has been a part of the recently added outfit since their first campaign and has played 41 games over the last couple of seasons. He has been an impactful addition to their side and has also earned a national team call-up with his sublime run of performances. The young gun isa hard worker on the pitch and controls the tempo of game for the Shers.
Franca (Mohammedan SC) – 24 appearances
Mohammedan SC are the league’s latest entrants and have played just one season until now. It was a season to forget for the Black Panthers as they struggled by all means and finished at the bottom of the table in the debut campaign. Franca played all 24 games for the Kolkata giants and scored and assisted a goal each. The Brazilian made it to the starting XI in 22 games while coming off the bench in the remaining two matches.
