The club have been part of the ISL since the 2020-21 season.

East Bengal have had a stormy first few years in the Indian Super League (ISL) ever since being promoted to the division in 2020. They have been impacted by constant changes in coaches and a rotating squad of players, with the Kolkata side finding it tough to find the best combination needed to properly compete for top honors in the division.

The Red & Gold Brigade management have been quite trigger-happy in terms of changing coaching personnel in the hope to usher them into a golden era. So far, however, that hasn’t exactly worked according to plan, with the chops and changes impacting East Bengal’s ability to compete for the ISL cup or even get to the ISL playoffs.

Here we’ll look at how each coach’s tenure went, how the team performed, key signings and their overall impact on the team.
