FC Goa vs Kerala Blasters lineups, team news, prediction & preview

FC Goa will take on the Blasters on match week 23 in the ISL.
FC Goa will be ready to host the Kerala Blasters on Saturday evening in the Indian Super League at the Fatorda Stadium. As the Gaurs are in the league shield race with the Mariners they will have to get points consistently to be in the race, on the other hand, the Blasters are looking to book their spot in the top six.
Both teams have a lot of stakes and surely they will look to make this enjoyable for the fans. Both teams have a good history in the ISL and they will have to give their best to achieve their objectives. Even though this is not a derby or rivalry but whenever both teams clash things heats up.
The Stakes
FC Goa
FC Goa are 10 points behind the Mariners with a game in hand and the players and coaching staff still believe that they can claim the shield. Four games are remaining and they will have to make sure that they win all those games and hope that Mohun Bagan drop points in their fixtures.
Also, the Gaurs need to improve their goal difference and their attackers will have to consistently perform well in the remaining fixtures. Against Blasters, they have always performed well and they will aim to do the double over them this season.
Kerala Blasters
Kerala Blasters suffered a heavy defeat at home to the table toppers as they lost the game by 0-3. They performed really well in the first half but scoring goals has been a problem for them as they depend too much on Jesus Jimenez and Peprah to score.
Fans have already shown their frustration over management by protesting and if they fail to make it to the top six this will make things even more complicated for them. So the coaching staff have a lot of pressure on them and surely the players need to step up and deliver good results and hope that other teams drop points.
Injury and Team News
The home side doesn’t have any injury issues going into this fixture and all players will be available for selection. For Kerala Blasters Noah Sadaoui is doubtful for the match and the rest of the players are fit to play.

Players to Watch
Iker Guarrotxena (FC Goa)

He is in fine form and this is the time when the Gaurs need him the most as they are chasing the league title and surely Iker is the man to rely on. The former Athletic Bilbao talisman is known for his work and dedication on the pitch. The veteran acts as a leader on the pitch and leads the team upfront.
He did miss fixtures at the start due to injuries but he came back and now he is looking unstoppable. Kerala fans love to face him as he is someone who gives them a good challenge always and surely this time as well the same story will repeat. He is someone who can make a difference on the pitch by himself.
Korou Singh (Kerala Blasters)

The youngster has impressed everyone this season and has shown his quality on the pitch consistently. Even though he has still a lot to learn and grow the way he plays is like a mature player in the middle of the park. Korous is someone who can provide assists and does position himself in scoring areas but eventually, he is not able to convert those chances into goals. He needs to work on his finishing and surely he will make things complicated for the Gaurs. Due to his performance, he might also get a call from the national team very soon.
