Top three stadiums which should host ISL 2023-24 final

The 10th season of the ISL is coming to an exciting end.
The 2023-24 edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) has been a fascinating journey so far, and has given fans plenty of twists and turns, and moments that will forever be etched in the history books of Indian football.
From Punjab FC’s entry and steady rise in the ISL, to a crumbling fate of misfortune for Hyderabad FC – this season has already given fans tons of exciting and intriguing situations.
But it does not stop here. As the final stretch of the season approaches, the teams have buckled up, and are in full tempo to play their best, in what is the ‘make or break’ time in the league.
With the end of the regular season approaching in less than two weeks time, the excitement and exhilaration for the playoff stage is slowly taking limelight, where the best teams compete for a place in the ISL final.
So today, we have prepared a list of the top three stadiums that would fit the occasion of hosting the Grand Finale of the 2023-24 season of the Indian Super League.
3. Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar
Home to ISL outfit Odisha FC, Kalinga Stadium is turning out to be a new hub for Indian football and sports overall. Indian national team head coach Igor Stimac had previously praised the stadium for its top notch facilities and stated, “We love this place. We enjoy coming here so much because the kinds of facilities we find here are not present anywhere else in the country.”

In recent times, Kalinga has hosted a number of games for the Indian national team, and was also the sole venue for the 2024 Super Cup, highlighting its capability of hosting high priority games.
With all the points in mind, and seeing Odisha FC’s immaculate form in the ISL, Kalinga Stadium might be a big shout for hosting the 2023-24 ISL final.
2. Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata
Salt Lake is one of the very few FIFA-standard stadiums in India, which has hosted some historical football games, most recent of which was the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup Final, between England and Spain.
Salt Lake is not only an integral part of India’s footballing history, but also an architectural marvel that has nestled a number of legends under its roof. Salt Lake’s extraordinary facilities, added with Kolkata’s craze for football, makes the stadium a perfect fit for hosting the 2023-24 ISL final.
Despite having never hosted an ISL final before, Salt Lake Stadium is expected to be chosen for the ultimate showdown, given the exceptional turnout from the fans this season, and also the great spell by Mohun Bagan so far in the league.
1. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi
Frenzy, fanaticism and ferociousness – these are the perfect words to describe Kerala, when it comes to football. The state is madly in love with the beautiful game, and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, serves as the perfect place for breeding this passion and love.
The stadium is the optimal juncture for anyone who wants to experience what true fan culture looks like, and it serves as a major contender to grace the occasion of such a high profile fixture.
Also with Kerala Blasters qualifying for the playoffs, there still exists a possibility, that the Manjappada might make it to the final showdown, pertaining which, fans across the nation and the world will get to witness a sea of yellow packed in the rafters of the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, creating mayhem and bedlam, that knows no bounds and limits.
