ISL 2024-25: Mohun Bagan squad, schedule, fixtures, results

Mohun Bagan will lock horns against Mumbai City FC in the season opener.

Mohun Bagan Super Giant head into the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) with utmost aspirations of doing the ‘ISL double’. Last season, the Mariners clinched the league shield title in extraordinary fashion but came up short in their efforts to win the ISL final against Mumbai City.

This time around, new head coach Jose Molina will aim to get his side to maintain extreme consistency and come up big on major occasions. Mohun Bagan are set to kick off their 2024-25 ISL campaign in a repeat of last season’s final, by hosting Mumbai City at the Salt Lake Stadium, Kolkata on 13 September.

This match will also be kicking off the new ISL campaign and be the first of 13 matches that the Mariners are scheduled to play in the first half of the 2024-25 league season. They will be facing rivals East Bengal in the much-anticipated Kolkata Derby on 19 October in what will be the ‘away’ leg of the derby in the ISL campaign.

Mohun Bagan will also be facing Kolkata rivals Mohammedan Sporting, who have been promoted to the ISL after having won the I-League title last season. The Mariners host the Black Panthers on 5 October for this mini-Kolkata Derby, one match they’d be eager to win to earn bragging rights for their fans.

The Mariners have a pretty competitive start to the season and will have an exhausting first half of the 2024-25 season due to their participation in the AFC Champions League 2 as well. Here we look at what the fixture list of Mohun Bagan looks like for the first half of the 2024-25 ISL campaign.
