ISL: Players with most goal contributions in a season

Alaeddine Ajaraie broke the record for the most ISL goal contributions against Jamshedpur FC.
Playing as a forward or an attacking midfielder is certainly not easy as these players have to shoulder the expectations of the fans and the team. The Indian Super League has seen a few such players over the years who have written a golden chapter for themselves in the league’s short history.
These players didn’t just make records, but they have also created memories that are still cherished by the supporters of Indian football. Here are seven players who have had the most goal contributions in an ISL season so far:
Greg Stewart – 21 goal contributions

Greg Stewart was key to the puzzle for Jamshedpur FC in the 2021-22 season as the Red Miners went on to win the Shield. The Scotsman scored 11 goals and gave 10 assists to his teammates in his debut season. To add to this, Stweart also won the ISL golden ball for his contributions in that season.
Roy Krishna – 21 goal contributions
Just like Valskis, the 2019-20 season also saw the debut of Roy Krishna as the Fijian moved to India from A-League side Wellington Phoenix. The ATK striker scored 15 goals and gave 6 assists as the Kolkata-based club were crowned the ISL Champions for the third time.
Nerijus Valskis – 21 goal contributions
The 2019-20 season was special for Chennaiyin FC as they scripted a comeback from the brink of elimination, reaching all the way to the ISL final. Nerijus Valskis became CFC’s goalscoring star as he bagged 15 goals and 6 assists in his debut season in India, winning the ISL Golden Boot.
Roy Krishna – 22 goal contributions
The 2020-21 season saw the debut of Mohun Bagan in the ISL as they merged with ATK, forming ATK Mohun Bagan. Playing his second ISL season, Roy Krishna stole the limelight on the individual front with 14 goals and 8 assists, becoming a fan favourite with his new club.

Ferran Corominas – 23 goal contributions
In the 2018-19 ISL season, Ferran Corominas proved once again that his debut season was not a fluke. The Spaniard scored 16 goals and provided 7 assists to his teammates, helping FC Goa reach the ISL final. However, the Gaurs were left heartbroken as they once again fell in the last hurdle.
Ferran Corominas – 23 goal contributions
Just like Ajaraie, FC Goa’s 2017-18 ISL season saw Ferran Corominas burst onto the scene in Indian football. In his debut season, Coro scored 18 goals and gave 5 assists, setting a goal contribution record that stood the team of time for almost seven years before being broken by Ajaraie in 2025.
Alaeddine Ajaraie – 25 goal contributions
The 2024-25 Indian Super League season has been historic for Alaeddine Ajaraie. The Moroccan has already broken quite a few records and currently has the most goal contributions in the ISL with 20 goals and 5 assists in 21 league games. Can the NorthEast United star break the 30-goal contributions mark before the nd of the season?
