The Marina Machans preserved their impeccable away record this season with another slender win.

Chennaiyin FC bounced back to winning ways after the Indian Super League (ISL) resumed play after an international break. NorthEast United FC broke the deadlock early in the game when Nestor Albiach put the finishing to a well-worked team goal in the 5th minute. The away side brought the game back on level terms with the help of Wilmar Jordan.

Owen Coyle’s side took the lead a few minutes later after Lukas Brambilla made no mistake in converting a spot kick. The Marina Machans started the second half on the front foot as Jordan scored his second goal of the game. The home side kept on pushing bodies forward and Alaeddine Ajaraie’s spot kick, but failed to complete their comeback.
