Mohun Bagan have claimed the ISL 2024-25 shield.

NorthEast United tore East Bengal to shreds on a cold evening in Shillong in ISL 2024-25. The Highlanders ran riot against the Kolkata Giants and secured their first win in the Scotland of the East. Nestor Albiach opened the scoring in the first half before magic man Alaeddine Ajaraie added a second goal in the early stages of the second half. The Moroccan scored once more from the spot and made it 3-0. Mohamed Ali Bemammer scored a screamer and put the game to bed in the 86th minute.

The second game witnessed Mohun Bagan take all three points against FC Goa in a top of the table clash in the night of celebrations. Bagan also got their hands on the league shield following a dominant display in the City of Joy. The first chance of the game fell to Iker Guarrotxena who couldn’t keep his shot on target. An own goal from Boris Singh gave the Mariners a lead in the second half before Greg Stewart sealed the deal with a late strike.

Mohun Bagan are the league shield winners and will end the group stage with 56 points in 24 games. FC Goa remain at the second position with 48 points from 24 games. NorthEast United FC have climbed up to the third position with 38 points in 24 games while Bengaluru FC have dropped down to fourth with 38 points from 23 games. Jamshedpur FC have further come down to fifth with 38 points from 23 games. Odisha FC complete the top six with 33 points in 24 games.

Mumbai City FC are positioned seventh with 33 points in 23 matches. Kerala Blasters have reclaimed the eighth position with 28 points from 23 games. East Bengal have dropped down to ninth with 27 points. Punjab FC are placed tenth with 27 points in 23 matches. Chennaiyin FC sit at eleventh with 24 points in 23 games. Hyderabad FC are still placed twelfth with 17 points from 23 games. Mohammedan SC are still sitting at the bottom of the table with twelve points in 23 matches.
