From game-changing attacking contributions to last-ditch defensive stops, these players have left their mark on the latest round of fixtures. As the teams are fast approaching the ISL playoffs, these players will look to build on their performances and continue making a significant impact in Indian football’s premier competition.
Here is a list of the top five Indian performers from match week 23:
5. Arshdeep Singh (Hyderabad FC)
The Hyderabad FC shot-stopper was in top form against Mumbai City FC, producing a heroic performance between the posts. The 28-year-old made seven crucial saves for his side en route to securing a hard-fought clean sheet in a goalless draw.
Against a very attacking and high-scoring Islanders side, Arshdeep took command of his goal and displayed quick reflexes to scupper any threat to his goal. He also showed great composure under pressure, making him one of the standout performers of the match week. His efforts were instrumental in denying the opposition and earned him only his second clean sheet for the season.
4. Nikhil Barla (Jamshedpur FC)
The Jamshedpur FC right-back made a significant impact off the bench and had a dream outing against Mohammedan SC. The defender helped his side keep a clean sheet and score a crucial goal to seal the game for his side.
He showed a glimpse of his ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch, making him an invaluable asset to his team. The move began following a lovely run from Barla down the right wing, followed by some intricate pass and play. The 21-year-old showed great awareness and followed the play into the box before producing a lovely chipped goal over the keeper’s head into the net.
3. Mohammed Yasir (FC Goa)

The FC Goa midfield dynamo once again proved his attacking prowess and poacher mentality with a vital goal for FC Goa in their clash against Kerala Blasters FC. The instinctual strike helped Goa secure an important result and demonstrated his ability to step up in crucial moments.
Yasir read the developing move well as striker Iker Guarrotxena breezed past his marker before releasing a dangerous low cross across the face of the goal. The 26-year-old was in the right place at the right time to tap home into an empty net. The goal highlighted his movement, passing accuracy, and finishing ability as he played a key role in Manolo Marquez’s side securing all three points.
