A list featuring some of the best Indian players who stood out for their clubs in matchweek 11.
The matchweek 11 of the Indian Super League (ISL) delivered with exciting action across all the games full of fantastic goals and saves on display. Once again Indian players stepped up for their respective teams with vital match-winning performances at the perfect time. From stunning goals to clutch defensive performances, these players showcased their quality.
These names proved their importance to their respective teams and turned the game around when the spotlight was the brightest.
Here are the top five Indian performers from this action-packed week of ISL football.
5. Amrinder Singh (Odisha FC)

Odisha FC shot-stopper Amrinder Singh makes the list following a brilliant and heroic performance supplemented with a clean sheet. His shot-stopping ability was on full display as he denied the opposition time and again with his 8 saves. Against a potent Mumbai City FC side, Singh ensured his side came away with a hard-fought point.
With his performance against the Islanders, Amrinder earned his second clean sheet of the season for the Juggernauts. His reflex saves and composure under pressure made him one of the standout players of Matchweek 11.
4. Jeakson Thaunaojam (East Bengal FC)
The 23-year-old midfielder once again showed his abilities in East Bengal FC’s midfield while coming on as a substitute. Singh came on in the 59th minute, with the Torchbearers holding a slender 1-0 lead. While his appearances for the team have been off the bench, and for providing defensive stability, Jeakson showed his attacking capabilities with a powerful long-range effort in the 83rd minute.
Apart from his goal contribution, his all-round performance added balance to East Bengal’s game. Singh showcased his versatility and importance to the team and proved he is a vital part of Bruzon’s system.

3. Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

The Mohun Bagan winger Manvir Singh continues to find the back of the net for his team whenever the opportunity arises. While delivering a powerful and precise finish following a marauding run from the right wing, Singh showed why he is arguably Mohun Bagan’s best player this season. His physicality and relentless pressing were instrumental in disrupting the NorthEast United defensive structure.
The 29-year-old’s goal highlighted his knack for being the man for the big occasions this season. In 9 appearances this season, Manvir has contributed with 3 goals and 3 assists, making him a constant threat in the attacking third for any defender.
2. Liston Colaco (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)
Manvir’s partner-in-crime, Liston Colaco played a pivotal role in Mohun Bagan’s victory. His mesmerizing run and crucial goal helped his side get a cushion to their slender 1-0 lead. Colaco has played a superb complimentary role to Singh with the attacking duo playing a huge role in their club maintaining their strong position in the league standings.
His goal showcased his technical prowess and sharp attacking instincts with a lovely finesse shot into the right-hand bottom corner. The winger’s contributions on the flank have kept the opposition defenses that have come against him on their toes throughout the season. The 26-year-old is slowly but surely solidifying his reputation as one of the league’s most dynamic wingers with every passing game.
1. Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC)

The 40-year-old continues to lead the way for the Blues with another instant classic performance as their hat-trick hero. The legendary Indian forward and Bengaluru FC captain was all-action in a huge rivalry game against Kerala Blasters FC and made all the difference on the night. In a game where the Blues looked vulnerable defensively, Chhetri demonstrated impeccable positional awareness and composure in front of goal.
His goals not only secured three crucial points for Bengaluru but reinforced his status as still being one of the league’s most influential players at age 40. In 11 appearances this season, Chhetri has recorded 8 goals and 1 assist to the West Block Blues’ delight.
