5. Tondonba Singh (NorthEast United FC)

The NorthEast United FC full-back put in an exceptional performance during his side’s impressive 2-0 victory over East Bengal FC. Not only was he defensively sound, helping his side secure a clean sheet, but he also contributed in attack with a crucial assist.

The standout moment for the left-back came in the 60th minute when he delivered a teasing cross for Nestor Albiach to tap home and give the hosts a deserved 1-0 lead. Singh showed great work rate on the left flank, as he played a key role in both defense and attack for the Highlanders.

His finishing ability and intelligent movement in the attacking third were on display, as he converted his only shot of the game with clinical precision and great anticipation to open the scoring in the eighth minute. Chhangte’s consistent performances keep reinforcing his reputation as a match-winner. In 23 appearances this season, Chhangte had contributed with six goals and three assists for the Islanders.
