The Super Cup 2025 begins on 20th April 2025.
After an exciting Indian Super League (ISL) season, all eyes now shift their focus to the Kalinga Super Cup 2025, which is set to kick off soon. The Kalinga Super Cup 2025 is a tournament that brings together clubs from both the ISL and the I-League.
The Super Cup is scheduled to kick off on April 20, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, between teams from the top two tiers of Indian football.
Goalkeepers usually are not just tasked with the fundamental duty of preventing the opposition from scoring, but also have the responsibility of directing the defenders and distributing the ball. Their crucial saves and overall presence of mind usually have a huge impact on the match outcomes and the team’s confidence.
Here are the top five goalkeepers who are expected to make a significant impact in the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup 2025:
5. Arindam Bhattacharya

Bringing his wealth of experience to Inter Kashi, goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya played a key role throughout the season. steady presence between the posts. Across 21 appearances, he managed to secure 6 clean sheets, demonstrating his reliability.
He will be a key player for Antonio Habas Lopez’s side ahead of an important Kalinga Super Cup 2025 campaign.
4. Hrithik Tiwari

Following the departures of experienced goalkeepers Dheeraj Singh and Arshdeep Singh Saini, FC Goa’s coach Manolo Marquez made a bold move by entrusting the goalkeeping duties to the young Hrithik Tiwari.

3. Albino Gomes
In his season as the first-choice goalkeeper for Jamshedpur FC, Albino Gomez put in a solid performance under Khalid Jamil. He also managed five clean sheets and maintained a consistent average of 3 saves per match, achieving a save percentage of 69%.
His penalty-stopping skills were an important asset both individually and for the team. Coach Jamil will again be depending on the 31-year-old ahead of their round of 16 game against Hyderabad FC in Kalinga Super Cup 2025.
2. Gurmeet Singh Chahal

Joining NorthEast United from Hyderabad FC, last season Gurmeet Singh had a strong season for the Highlanders. He had a total of 7 clean sheets and 69 saves.
His most brilliant performance this season however, was in the Durand Cup, where he won the Golden Glove and secured the title for NorthEast United with a great performance in the penalty shootout, which show the quality in his performance.
Coach Juan Pedro Benali will be depending on Gurmeet as his starting keeper for the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 round of 16 game against Mohammedan SC.
1. Vishal Kaith

Vishal Kaith has been an example of consistency in goalkeeping this season. This can be seen by his 15 clean sheets in 26 matches. His shot-stopping ability can be seen by his impressive tally of 75 saves, averaging at least two crucial saves per game.
This incredible performance rightfully earned him the ISL Golden Glove award this year. Following an incredible season with Mohun Bagan Super Giant, Vishal Kaith has also become the first-choice goalkeeper for the Indian national team. His consistency makes him a definite player to watch out for in the Kalinga Super Cup 2025.
