Nihal Sudeesh shares crucial update on Punjab FC foreigners

The 23-year-old is on loan from Kerala Blasters.

Nihal Sudeesh is perhaps one of the most important names in the limelight in the Indian Super League (ISL) at the moment, as his recent performances have served as a testament to his insane talent and footballing brilliance. 

The Kerala Blasters loanee has been making big moves since the start of the season, with a lively performance throughout Punjab FC’s Durand Cup campaign, followed by a positive start to the ISL campaign.

Nihal Sudeesh’s goal against Odisha FC was another standout moment for the 23-year-old, with his brilliant finishing abilities at full display, as he curled the ball into the bottom right corner past Amrinder Singh’s reach.

Coming on loan from Kerala, Nihal put in a shift during pre-season, to get himself in contention for the starting eleven. His performances and his presence on the field are in contrast to last season, and the player seems to be a more mature individual on the pitch. 

Another thing that has been added to Nihal Sudeesh’s game, is the presence of an experienced foreign contingent at Punjab FC. The likes of Mushaga Bakenga, Filip Mrzljak and Luka Majcen are all seasoned professionals, and their association and guidance can work wonders for youngsters trying to make their mark in professional football.

“I always ask questions to the foreign players, like how to play and when to play, so it is developing me as a player every day, so it’s good and it’s helping me a lot,” said Nihal when asked about the influence of foreign players around him. 

Punjab FC head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis also stated after the game against Odisha, how impressed he is with the youngster. “When he arrived in our preparation season, he was almost outside of my plans. If he will go on working this way, he will make a huge career in India.”

Despite being in the very initial stages of the season, Punjab FC are already a very exciting prospect in the league, and Nihal Sudeesh is at the center of all the excitement and elation from the capital.
