The final matchday of the tournament is nearly upon us

The 133rd edition of the Durand Cup has reached the final matchday of its group stages with four teams still fighting for a place in the knockouts. The Highlanders have recorded their best-ever start in the Durand Cup having won both of their opening games. NorthEast United began their campaign with a 0-2 win over home side Bodoland FC before getting a statement 4-0 win over BSF. Juan Pedro Benali’s side are currently at the top of Group E and most likely to go through to the knockouts.

Odisha FC

Odisha FC have sent their reserve side for the Durand Cup and their young guns have given a decent account of themselves so far. They began with a thumping 5-0 victory over BSF before being thrashed 2-0 by Bodoland FC last week. The Juggernauts are currently placed third on the table and qualification seems very unlikely for them at this stage.
