Odisha FC will look to put their best efforts to defeat Kerala Blasters.
After a commanding performance in their last game against Jamshedpur FC, Sergio Lobera’s Odisha FC is now gearing up to face Kerala Blasters FC at the Kalinga Stadium on October 3 (Thursday).
Kerala Blasters FC are now placed fifth in the points table with four points from three matches, while Odisha FC have managed to win just one game and are placed in 10th position with 3 points from 3 matches.
Before the clash between two of the best sides in the Indian Super League 2024-25, coach Sergio Lobera had an interaction with the media and answered their queries about the upcoming game.
Need for Improvement
Although Odisha FC won their last game, coach Sergio Lobera looked composed and stated about the team’s improvement after every game.
Sergio Lobera said, “We need to continue working for the next game if we want to get three points. Yes, we are happy with the last win, but when we are winning we need to move ahead in achieving more points. The most important thing for me in the last game was that I felt like we were Odisha again. We were loyal to our style of play.”
“Even though the result is important, it is more important for me than how we can get the result. I am very proud of the players”, Sergio Lobera added.

Will play against a good team
Undoubtedly Kerala Blasters FC are a strong team with a huge fanbase. They will put all their efforts to win the match and move ahead in the points table. When asked about the opponent, Sergio Lobera replied, “We are going to play against a very good team. I have a lot of respect for this team. I’m sure it will be a difficult game for us.”
Need to correct our mistakes
Mistakes are a part of every game. When you try to put in all your effort, sometimes you also end up making some mistakes. The coach was very skeptical while addressing their mistakes.
Sergio Lobera stated, “We need to correct our mistakes by thinking about the opponent that we have in front of us. We also need to improve in some sectors. The most important thing is to be strong and be loyal to our style of play.”
