Which team has won the most AIFF Super Cup titles?

The Gaurs have been the dominant force in the competition over the years.

The 2025 AIFF Super Cup delivered all the spills and thrills in the Final between FC Goa and East Bengal FC, with the Gaurs reigning supreme after holding their nerves towards win 6-5 in a penalty shootout at the Fatorda Stadium on Sunday.

Since the reformed introduction of the Super Cup in 2018 as a knockout competition replacing the Federation Cup, there have been multiple clubs who have won the prestigious prize. However, there has only been one club which has managed to dominate the competition and stamp their authority over the rest.

Super Cup is the competition that started it all for FC Goa

The Gaurs have won the most AIFF Super Cup titles, lifting their third trophy after the 2025–26 final and becoming the competition’s most successful club. Following their penalty shootout victory, FC Goa have completed a run of three Super Cup wins with their first title coming in 2019, followed by two consecutive titles in the recent two editions in 2024-25 and 2025-26, a mark no other club has matched.

It all began for the Gaurs during the 2019 season under Spanish head coach Sergio Lobera, who led his team past a gutsy Chennaiyin FC to win 2-1 in the final and clinch their first Super Cup titles. Goals from Ferrán Corominas and Brandon Fernandes were enough to help Goa win their first title at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Three titles for the Gaurs lead the way

After a brief drought in the competition, the the club added a second title under head coach Manolo Marquez, who led them past Jamshedpur FC in dominant fashion during a 3-0 win with goals from Borja Herrera and Dejan Dražić sealing the game. The recent penalty shootout win over East Bengal FC adds a third title for the Gaurs, two more than any other club.

As the Super Cup looks ahead to future editions, Goa’s three-title record sets the benchmark for clubs across India aiming to build cup pedigree alongside league success. With Bengaluru FC, Odisha FC and East Bengal FC each holding a single Super Cup crown, clubs will need to step up to disrupt FC Goa’s grip on the Super Cup title.
