The Kalinga Super Cup 2025 action kicks off on April 20.

After a successful season in 2024, the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 will again be held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. With 15 teams being part of it, the first match is scheduled to be played on April 20, 2025, between Kerala Blasters FC and the defending champion East Bengal FC

Unlike last year, the Indian national players are going to be a part of the tournament, which will remain a thrilling factor for the fans in Odisha to watch their favourite players at the Kalinga Stadium. 

Before the games begin, let us have a look at the top five youngsters who could catch the eyeballs with their brilliant performances in Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

5. Dippendu Biswas (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s Dippendu Biswas scored one goal and created two assists in 14 ISL outings.

The 21-year-old Mohun Bagan Super Giant centre-back was one of their breakout stars in the recently concluded 2024-25 Indian Super League campaign. If we look at the stats, Biswas maintained 82% passing accuracy in 14 ISL matches. 

The 21-year-old averages 30 passes per game and also won 14 tackles and 42 duels during his playing time on the field. In addition to it, he has also scored one goal and provided two assists for his club in the ISL 2024-25 campaign. Undoubtedly, he grabs the top spot in the table due to his performance and will surely remain a player to watch out for in the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

4. Brison Fernandes (FC Goa)

Brison Fernandes, who turned 24 on April 17, 2025, earned a place for himself in the national team in March 2024, banking on his prolific run in the Indian Super League 2024-25. The youngster who plays at left-middle has scored seven goals and provided two assists in 24 appearances for his side in the last season of ISL.

With 75% passing accuracy, he made 306 successful passes and created 27 scoring chances for the Gaurs. He will look to take advantage of his form and help his team achieve more success in Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

3. Lalrinliana Hnamte (Chennaiyin FC)

After a transfer from Mohun Bagan Super Giant to Chennaiyin FC, Lalrinliana Hnamte produced some energetic performances in the 2024-25 campaign to remain a player to watch out for. He is definitely in the list of youngsters who could create an enthralling impact for their side in the Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

The midfielder made 22 appearances for his side in ISL 2024-25, where he scored one goal and provided one assist. What puts him into a different league is his game awareness and energetic runs on the field to keep the game moving till the last minute. With 74% accuracy, he made 362 successful passes and created 9 chances for his side. He also made 26 interceptions and 30 clearances during his stay on the ground, which makes Hnamte a player to watch out for the Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

2. Singamayum Shami (Punjab FC)

Although Punjab FC didn’t have a memorable season in ISL 2024-25, there were few players in the team who made significant contributions for their side. Amongst them, midfielder Singamayum Shami remains the youngest player in the side to score a goal for his team. 

In just 5 appearances for his side, Shami scored one goal and with 83% passing accuracy, made 26 successful passes. Punjab FC might look to give him a few more chances in the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 to test his skills and get him groomed for future challenges.

1. Irfan Yadwad (Chennainin FC)

Another player of Chennaiyin FC who grabbed the eyeballs with his performances in the last couple of months is Indian attacker Irfan Yadwad. The forward scored five goals and provided 4 assists for his team in ISL 2024-25 in 24 games. 

He remains the second youngest player of India after Brison Fernandes to have his name in the list of most goals scored in the season. Yadwad also made 240 successful passes while creating 20 chances for his side. He also won 189 duels and had 16 shots on target in 24 appearances for the Marina Machans. He will be a key player for his side in Kalinga Super Cup 2025.
