After months of speculation and uncertainty, Kerala Blasters are all set for its takeover by the new management. The United Arab Emirates-based Al Fursan Sports Investment LLC is set to become the club’s new owner, replacing the Hyderabad-based Magnum Sports Private Limited.
The final agreement is set to be signed in the upcoming hours, and the announcement will be made through a press conference scheduled at 7:00 pm on the 29th of September, where the representatives from Al Fursan will provide details regarding the ownership structure and the roadmap for the upcoming season of the Indian Super League.

A New Era for Kerala Blasters FC
Photo: Shibu Preman / Focus Sports / ISLIt has been reported that Al Fursan Group, backed by the ruling Al Qasimi family of Sharjah, has agreed to a deal for a 100% takeover of Blasters, at a valuation of approximately 100-120 crores, and the payment is to be made within eight months, with the first tranche deposited.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Faisal Al Qassimi of the Royal Family is reportedly set to become a shareholder of Kerala Blasters, and Mr Dunston Pereira, CEO of the Al Qassimi Group, is reportedly the key person behind the investment deal between KBFC and the Al Fursan Group.
Ofioh Sporty India Private Limited is likely to handle the operations and commercial activities of Blasters FC this season. Earlier, on the 24th of September, a new private limited company, Project Blasters Private Limited, was registered in Bengaluru. Along with that, on the next day, a limited liability partnership firm, Project Blaster Partners LLP, was also registered.
Presented by Al Fursan Group, Project Blasters is a visionary initiative for supporting investments in the sports ecosystem, including their sports academies, players, teams, clubs and athletes.

Indian Super League kicks off on the 10th October
The Indian Super League 2026-27 season is all set to kick off on the 10th of October, 2026. This year, the league will witness the comeback of the double round-robin system, which was replaced last year with a single round-robin system, citing uncertainty.
Kerala Blasters FC will play their first game of the season on the 11th of October, against Inter Kashi FC away from home. The first home game for the Blasters will be against Mumbai City FC on the 25th of October, 2026. Despite uncertainties looming around the potential shift from Kochi to Malappuram or Calicut, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, has been announced as the home ground for the Blasters.
