The hosts have now lost two home games on the bounce while the visitors kept their fifth clean sheet of the season.

There would be no rewards to guess who the unhappiest manager in the ISL would be at the moment. Albert Roca's Bengaluru FC sunk to their second defeat at home in the span of a week against fellow ISL debutants Jamshedpur FC. A late second-half stoppage time penalty from Trindade ensured Steve Coppell's side got only their second win of the campaign and gave Albert Roca more reason to ponder on where things went wrong.

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu- 7.0

The India custodian was solid between the sticks and ensured that there were no panic whenever the ball was floated into the box. Commanded his defence expertly. Was unfortunate to concede in the dying embers of the game.

Save from Gurpreet Singh Sandhu

Harmanjot Khabra- 7.0

The versatile full-back was in his element on the right flank, but was unable to influence proceedings despite sending in 5 crosses and creating 2 chances for the team. Hauled off 6 minutes before the end as Roca went for broke in search of the 3 points.

Subhashish Bose- 8

The left-back gave a great account of himself as he ensured that the opposition got no respite from his flank. May see him start more games in this position over Nishu Kumar who looked nervy in the defeat to Chennayin FC.

Rahul Bheke- 6.0

He would consider himself unfortunate to concede the penalty that gave the opposition 3 points. Dealt with the threat of Belfort fairly well, but could not keep his cool in the final moments of the game as Bengaluru chased the win. May see a return of the old partnership of John Johnson and Juanan going forward.

Udanta Singh- 7.0

The winger's return to the XI was expected and the team played with a lot more vigour and intent with him in the side. Drew fouls from the opposition and created chances whenever he found even a yard of space. Did not have a goal or a successful assist to show for his efforts.

Sunil Chhetri- 6.0

A rare off day for the talisman as he saw his team go down by a single goal. While he did have 3 shots on target, he would have wanted a goal dearly to show for his efforts on the pitch. Will no doubt introspect on why he was unable to influence proceedings like his regular self before their next game against the Kerala Blasters.

Substitutes

Nishu Kumar- 5.0

Brought on for Juanan as Subhashish moved into the center of defence. Punted in the solitary cross but did not have enough time to get into the game and cause damage to the opposition.

Jamshedpur FC

Subrata Paul- 8.0

Subrata Paul kept his cool in saving a stunning shot by Sunil Chhetri

The Indian goalkeeper was a beacon of solidity as his reflexes and positioning kept out numerous Bengaluru chances. Will be even more overjoyed with the fact that he was on the winning side for all his efforts. A victory he would cherish for a while.

Shouvik Ghosh- 6.0

Charged with tracking Udanta, his flank was under siege thanks to the dual threat of Khabra and Udanta. Dealt with the threat with a cool head, but it was not a comfortable outing for the full back.

Souvik Chakrabarti- 5.0

Jamshedpur's other full back had a similar story as he was asked to track Chhetri during the length of the game. Was seen hacking the ball into touch more often despite the Bengaluru captain having an off game.

Mehtab Hossain- 5.0

Was expected to be the steel in midfield alongside Memo, but was bypassed on many an occasion as the game progressed. Struggled to keep pace with the Bengaluru midfield and give his backline adequate protection. Picked up a knock and was replaced before half time by Farukh Choudhary.

Bikash Jairu- 6.0

Had a relatively better game compared to Mehtab, but was still not able to add much to his side's defensive efforts. Kept things more often than not with short passes, but was again overrun by a strong Bengaluru midfield.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga-6.5

Was asked to be the pacier of the front 2 for Jamshedpur as the dimunitive forward attempted to run the channels to allow Belfort more space to work the Bengaluru defensive line. Had the solitary shot on target, but was often seen tracking back to help out his side. Was replaced by Siddharth Singh 3 minutes before regular time.

Substitutes

Siddharth Singh- 5.0

Given a short run out on the pitch and could not add much to the proceedings. Added more pace as compared to a tiring Jerry.

Farukh Choudhary- 6

Replaced Mehtab before half time, but it did not see a reversal in the team's midfield performance.
