Watch: Pune City 2-4 Chennaiyin FC highlights
Below are the ratings of the Indian players who featured in the game:
FC Pune City
Kamaljit Singh - 4.0
Kamaljit pulled off a couple of easy saves in the first half. Almost let the ball in from an attempt by Germanpreet in the 52nd minute, but managed to catch hold of it. However, that didn’t matter as he went on to concede three more goals to make matters worse for Pune.
Gurtej Singh - 4.0
Made a good clearance in the 12th minute from a cross by Francisco Fernandes. Paired up well with Matt Mills and didn’t let Jeje Lalpekhlua penetrate through.
Adil Khan - 6.0
Was strong in midfield as usual as he made five tackles and four clearances. The veteran midfielder was good at distribution too, as he played a couple of good long balls. Adil was however, helpless as the defence conceded four back-to-back goals in the second half.
Robin Singh - 6.5
Probably Pune’s best man on the field in the first half, Robin’s excellent long ball to Ashique was converted into an assist by the youngster. The forward looks settled on the wing as he dropped back to help the defence and also made a couple of interceptions in the first half. He picked up a yellow card for a bad foul on Jerry Lalrinzuala in the 50th minute and was eventually subbed off for Nikhil Poojary in the 57th minute.
Ashique Kuruniyan-6.5
The youngster led the attack from the left wing and gave nightmares to Inigo Calderon in the first half. Ashique made some dangerous runs on the flank and managed to put the ball past the goalkeeper on one such occasion. However, the winger was also responsible for the first goal conceded by Pune as he left Gregory Nelson unmarked.
Lalchhuanmawai Fanai - 3.0
Fanai was pretty good at defending, but a few bad clearances from him led to some tension at the back. The problems went from bad to worse for him as he was easily beaten by the opposition winger. Was substituted in the 77th minute for Jakob.
Sarthak Golui - 6.5
Sarthak was Pune’s best defender in the first half with 11 clearances, two interceptions and a block. He was helpless in stopping Nelson’s goal and again in the 73rd minute when Thoi Singh scored. Overall, Golui was good for Pune, but his display was overshadowed by the huge loss.
Substitutions
Nikhil Poojary - 4.5
Poojary came on in the 57th minute, but didn’t have much of an influence as Pune conceded a couple more goals. Although, he did put in a good cross in the 75th minute, the defenders cleared it away.
Jakob - N/A
Came on late in the 77th minute and couldn’t do anything to help his side.

Watch: Karanjit had a decent outing
The 32-year-old Chennaiyin FC shot-stopper was beaten by Ashique to score in the 9th minute, as the ball went through his legs. He wasn’t too troubled otherwise. Conceded another goal from a corner in injury-time.
Jerry Lalrinzuala– 6.0
Jerry was good on the night and although he was troubled in the first half by Robin, the second half was much easier for the left-back. For the majority of the second 45, he was a spectator on the pitch.
Anirudh Thapa – 7.0
The 20-year-old had a very good evening against the Stallions as he kept the ball well and maintained an 81% passing accuracy. He also created a good chance in the second half and managed to get an assist from a deadball situation for Nelson’s first goal.
Germanpreet Singh– 6.5
The midfielder made a good tackle on Marcelinho in the 10th minute. He was pretty good in the first half and kept possession well. Germanpreet stepped up his game in the second period and contributed well in getting Chennaiyin their first win.
Francisco Fernandes - 6.0

Francisco had a good strike saved
The winger looked dangerous on the right flank and managed to beat Fanai on several occasions. Majority of his crosses were cleared away by the opposition defence. Substituted off in the 55th minute to make way for super-sub Thoi.
Jeje Lalpekhlua – 5.5
Jeje’s goal-drought continuerd as he again struggled to make an impact for the visitors, even though the Stallions weren’t defending well in the second half. He finally limped off the pitch to make way for Rafi in the 90th minute.
Substitutions
Thoi Singh – 6.0
Thoi came on in the 55th minute and also scored with a tap-in in the 73rd minute.
