Thanks to good individual performances, the visitors earned an important victory in their pursuit of the league's top spot.
FC Goa earned all three points in their latest Indian Super League encounter against Odisha FC, with a 2-4 scoreline. The result propelled the Super Cup winners to the top of the league standings with 30 points. An own-goal from Vinit Rai, a brace from Jackichand Singh and a late goal from Ferran Corominas were enough to silence the hosts, for whom Manuel Onwu scored a brace on his debut. Josep Gombau had to field a weakened team, missing several senior players due to injury.Watch: Odisha FC 2-4 FC Goa highlights
However, several domestic players failed to live up to the occasion and were outplayed by a collective performance from Sergio Lobera’s men. Here are the player ratings from Odisha FC Vs FC Goa: [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Odisha FC
Sajid Dhot- 4.5
Filling in for an injured Shubham Sarangi was never going to be easy for Sajid Dhot, who found it tough to manage the marauding runs from Mandar Rao Dessai. He showed good fight in defensive duels, but overall, the lack of chemistry with Jerry Mawihmingthanga on the right wing was apparent.Gaurav Bora- 4.5
Gaurav Bora has looked much more comfortable while playing alongside Carlos Delgado instead of Diawadou Diagne as a pair. The defensive setup was all over the place and the center-back failed to impress with his distribution as well.Narayan Das- 6.0
Narayan Das was the sole performer in an underwhelming Odisha lineup. His workrate was decent and the full-back covered spaces behind him well. It was his pinpoint cross which found Onwu for the opening goal. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Vinit Rai- 4.5
In an uncharacteristic performance from an otherwise reliable figure, Vinit Rai had a tough outing in the middle of the park. He also managed to score an own-goal after inadvertently guiding a free-kick into his own net.Daniel Lalhlimpuia- 5.0
Daniel Lalhlimpuia started on the left wing and did not get many chances to impress, as the Gaurs dominated possession. He managed only one shot and created a solitary chance which did not materialize into a goal.Jerry Mawihmingthanga- 5.5
Jerry Mawihmingthanga has been a livewire and a troublesome figure to deal with for full-backs this season. However, he was kept quiet by Mandar and bereft of ideas, ended up lodging hopeful crosses into the box, that were easily dealt with by the defenders. Mohammad Nawaz- 5.0
Mohammad Nawaz was not troubled in the first half and handled himself well while in possession of the ball. The custodian could have done better to avoid the second goal from Onwu, as he failed to rise highest to collect the ball close to his area from a corner.Seriton Fernandes- 5.0
Seriton Fernandes had a somewhat disappointing game, as he gave away several clumsy fouls on his wing and should have done better to stop crosses coming in from his flank. He did not contribute much in attack, with no crosses to his name.Mandar Rao Dessai- 6.5
Mandar Rao Dessai was sensational for his side, as he created two good chances and delivered three crosses inside the area. He also contributed with an assist for the second goal and caused plenty of troubles with his attacking runs down the channels. [KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Brandon Fernandes- 6.5
On several occasions, Brandon Fernandes shifted from left wing to a central position, exchanging roles with Hugo Boumos effortlessly. His distribution and long diagonals made it tough for the OFC players to stop the flow of Goa’s passing.Lenny Rodrigues- 6.0
Forging a decent partnership with Edu Bedia, Lenny Rodrigues kept Xisco Hernandez in check and was astute in closing down spaces in the middle. His all-around work was backed by his stats, as the midfielder had an 89% passing accuracy and made seven clearances. [KH_ADWORDS type="1" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]Jackichand Singh- 7.0
Jackichand Singh was on song for the Gaurs, as the winger contributed heavily with two goals in the first half. His contest with Narayan Das was a delight to watch for both sets of fans.Substitutions
Manvir Singh- 5.5
Manvir Singh played an important role in the fourth and final goal, as it was his run that led to the ball falling to Ferras Corominas’ feet, who slotted it in the back of the net.Princeton Rebello- N/A
