The lineup has a good mixture of both Indian talents and foreign players who impressed in the week.

Another round of matches in the Indian Super League (ISL) concluded which resulted in a series of interesting encounters and several noteworthy individual performances. The Team of the Week lineup consists of both domestic talents and foreign players, who were the shining beacons in their respective teams' performances. Players from title favourites FC Goa and Bengaluru FC dominate the lineup, as they both notched up comfortable victories. Chennaiyin FC are also represented due to an impressive result against Kerala Blasters last week. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Mumbai City FC too have been impressive on the road, as they became the first team to hand Jamshedpur FC a defeat at The Furnace. Here is the ISL 2019-20 Team of the Week 7: GK: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu Gurpreet Singh Sandhu has been in good form this term and was only the second custodian to collect a clean-sheet this week. Although, he was not tested a lot by the NorthEast United attackers, the 27-year-old was steadfast whenever called into action. He is still leading the clean-sheets chart, with six to his name from nine appearances. RB: Edwin Vanspaul The full-back, who made the move to the ISL from Chennai City FC, has been consistently performing well for the Marina Machans. His display on the right flank was industrious, as he did not let opposition attackers breathe. He was was also a constant threat owing to his forward runs. New Chennaiyin FC boss Owen Coyle also heaped praise on the defender in his post-match press conference, hoping that he and Lallianzuala Chhangte continue to develop and impress. CB: Albert Serran Bengaluru FC got back to winning ways after a 2-0 victory at NEUFC. Keeping another clean-sheet away from home was a cherry on top and large credit for that goes to their centre-back Albert Serran. He was not only defensively astute, but also scored a crucial second goal to kill off the game. The pairing of Serran and Juanan is clearly a formidable force and it will take something special to break through their lines this season. CB: Tiri Jamshedpur FC’s hero is skipper Tiri, who has been performing sensationally on a consistent basis. He is a leader at the back and holds the best attackers at bay with ease. His ability to distribute the ball and uplift the players around him also speaks volumes. Despite seeing his side taste defeat for the first time at home this campaign, he was one of the best performers for the Men of Steel. He scored the equalizer with a daunting header from close range, but sadly was not able to prevent a loss. LB: Subhasish Bose Mumbai City continued their brilliant away form after snatching all three points against Jamshedpur, who were undefeated at The Furnace till now. The Islanders were solid at the back, with Subhasish Bose garnering the most praise. The 24-year-old was vigilant on the left flank and did not make any mistakes. He was also dominant in terms of aerial duels and was firm in his tackling as well. CDM: Lenny Rodrigues Lenny Rodrigues has really come into his own playing for the Gaurs this season, where his passing and defensive awareness have come into the limelight. His performance against Odisha FC was again brilliant, as he cut a comfortable figure in the middle of the park. While he excels at ball recovery and launching quick counter-attacks, a little bit of quality in his shooting could make his overall game even more impressive. RCM: Paulo Machado Paulo Machado was awarded the Hero of the Match for his brilliant overall display against JFC. During the game, he was up against Piti and won the all-important duel in midfield. His opening goal from a narrow-angled free-kick put the Islanders in the driving seat as well. [KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] His workrate was particularly impressive, as he went from box-to-box, not only providing defensive cover but also creating good chances for the attackers. He created two crucial opportunities and was a threat with his deadball deliveries all night. LCM: Anirudh Thapa Anirudh Thapa was all over the field in his industrious display against Kerala Blasters, where he made several ball recoveries and acted as the pivot between the defence and the attack. He was also vital in kick-starting quick counter-attacks. RW: Jobby Justin Despite starting in an unnatural position, Jobby Justin made his mark in the ISL for ATK against Hyderabad FC. Threatened on every occasion he received the ball he was not afraid to take defenders on. His ability to find space behind the defenders caused Nikhil Poojary several problems. [KH_ADWORDS type="1" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] After that decent performance, perhaps Antonio Lopez Habas will be compelled to hand the forward a place in the starting XI in matches to come. LW: Brandon Fernandes Brandon Fernandes has been one of the best Indian players since the start of the season and plays a crucial part in FC Goa’s attacking prowess. He impressed again for the Gaurs and got a well-deserved goal late in the game against Odisha. ST: Ferran Corominas FC Goa rode on another flawless display from their skipper Ferran Corominas, as they trounced Odisha 3-0 to go top of the table. With two goals and an assist, the Spaniard took his goals tally to six for the season. His contribution in the build-up and positioning could have enabled the Gaurs to score more on the night. The 36-year-old has now scored 40 in 46 games in his ISL career!
