A source informed that Singh, who signed a five-year contract last year, might be asked to start looking for a new club. However, another source close to Singh's representatives countered that the 29-year-old will remain at the club.
About the Player
Kaith, who hails from Rohru in Himachal Pradesh, is a product of the AIFF Elite Academy where he spent three years between 2011 and 2014. He then joined Shillong Lajong at 18 and made a name for himself as one of the budding young goalkeepers. While still at Lajong, Kaith had a loan spell at the now-disbanded FC Pune City during ISL 2016.
Eventually, the move became permanent and he went on to play a stellar role in Pune City reaching the playoffs in ISL 2017-18. The 6'2 goalkeeper kept seven clean-sheets in 17 appearances that season.
He also played the following season with the Stallions before making a move to Chennaiyin FC ahead of ISL 2019-20. With the Marina Machans, Kaith played the ISL final in his debut season at the club and kept four clean-sheets as Owen Coyle's Chennaiyin FC finished runners-up following a defeat to ATK Mohun Bagan in the final.
