SC East Bengal in ISL 2021-22
The Red and Gold had a disappointing campaign in ISL 2021-22. With only one win from 20 matches, they finished at the bottom of the table. They changed their coach thrice, which also had a poor impact on their performances.
Club officials have started preparing for next season. East Bengal have already signed Nabi Hussain Khan, Mahitosh Roy and Suryash Jaiswal. The biggest challenge for them will be to keep their core intact for next season, as already Sourav Das and Mohammed Rafique have signed for Chennaiyan FC. Others such as Sankar Roy and Hira Mondal have received offers from several clubs.
But, with the support of the Basundhara Group, the club officials have started scouting ISL players and they will be signed once the new investor steps in.
