Nikamal Limited will sponsor Mohun Bagan for next season I-League 2017-18.

Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan have announced a landmark one-year sponsorship deal with Nilkamal Limited as one of the principal sponsors of the team. Nilkamal Limited is the manufacturer of molded plastic furniture, and one of Asia's largest producers of molded plastic products. Based in Mumbai, India, the name Nilkamal is synonymous with quality and durability. Their extensive manufacturing infrastructure is supported by a wide and strong sales network of 400+ techno-commercial experts, operating through 39 Regional Offices and 41 Warehouses spread across India.

Club Directors Srinjoy Bose and Debashis Dutta said, “We are delighted to be working with Nilkamal. The two organizations’ will be committed to promoting the game of football throughout the entire country.” We are thankful to the management of Nilkamal for having come forward and taken initiative for the development of sports.

Mohun Bagan received 2.75 crores per year initially from United Spirits. The amount rose to 5 crore by 2013, with a new deal for 10 years. Diageo, then, took over from United Spirits and things changed for the Greens-and-Maroons. Tutu Bose had recently resigned from the post of club President and is currently working as a normal employee in day-to-day proceedings. Swapan Sadhan Bose, as he's better known, had bailed out the club several times during financial hardship.
