The Newcastle United vs Everton clash will be the penultimate friendly for the Toffees.
Everton will look to continue their pre-season build-up for the English Premier League 2026-27 season with a friendly clash against league rivals Newcastle United at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Wednesday.
Having played five pre-season friendlies so far, the Toffees have won just twice – a 4-0 victory over Dundee United and a 2-1 win over Hamburger SV. The other results have been a goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers, a 1-0 loss to Stoke City, and a 3-1 defeat against VfB Stuttgart in their last outing.
David Moyes will hope that his new-look Toffees side can return to winning ways ahead of the start of their Premier League campaign on August 22, when they take on Crystal Palace at home.
For Newcastle United, new head coach Matthias Jaissle will hope that his side can maintain the form they showed during their 2-1 win over Valencia in their last match. So far, the Magpies have played four friendlies, winning two of them.
