The striker was recently stripped off as the captain of Arsenal.

Arsenal may be performing better on the pitch, but their off-the-pitch issues are gaining more attention. In light of recent disciplinary violations from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the club decided to strip him of the captaincy. This decision has certainly caused a lot of discussion around the future of the striker. Reports suggest Mikel Arteta does not favour the Gabonese international. The tactician has not picked him in recent matchday squads as a consequence of his actions.

The 32-year-old will now be on the radar of several other teams who are in the market for a forward. The transfer window will be open in January, which will provide teams an opportunity to make their move. Recruiting Aubameyang, whose time at Arsenal seems to be coming to a conclusion would be genius. His uncertain future works in favour of potential buyers, that will look to strike a cut-price deal for the striker.

Considering the situation of clubs in and around Europe, there are several teams that will benefit from Aubameyang’s arrival. He is an affordable and easy target and these five clubs should pounce on the opportunity to sign him:

5. Chelsea

Chelsea is rumoured to be interested in acquiring the services of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The London-based club would like to add more firepower in their forward department by securing his signature. The dwindling form of Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku has sometimes hurt Chelsea's results and Thomas Tuchel cannot afford this at a club with short patience.

The Blues are an ideal transfer for Aubameyang as well. The prospect of staying in London is a good one for the player which makes practical sense. The club is also capable of giving the striker a lucrative contract.

4. Real Madrid

Real Madrid could be a possible destination for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He has the quality and the capability to represent one of the biggest clubs in Europe. Real are looking for a new striker and are weighing several options. While the club may have to compete with other clubs for preferred targets, Aubameyang could be a great solution in the meantime.

The striker will be available and will not need much convincing to join a club that will offer him regular UEFA Champions League football and a chance to win trophies.

3. Juventus

Juventus FC is struggling to keep up with the pace of the rest of the competition in the Serie A. Languishing in seventh place after 17 matches, the outfit has scored only 23 goals. Shockingly, that is 20 goals less than Inter Milan and only seven teams in the division have scored fewer goals than the Old Lady.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men desperately need some inspiration in the attacking department. Paulo Dybala is the club’s top scorer with only five strikes in Serie A, which is a very low number considering the quality of the club. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be the perfect signing for the team. A change of environment will work in favour of the striker who has previously played in the Serie A with A.C. Milan.

2. Newcastle United

Newcastle United will sign a lot of high-profile players in the winter and the following summer transfer window. The club have a huge transfer budget at their disposal, since the takeover by the consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Eddie Howe is the new manager who replaced Steve Bruce recently.

The Premier League outfit have big ambitions and signing a player like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be a major step in that direction. They will be able to offer him a lucrative contract as well due to their financial might and the move will make practical sense for the striker, who is heading towards the latter stages of his career.

1. FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona are in immediate need of a new striker. The tragic early retirement of Sergio Aguero has shocked the club and football fans, in general. The Argentine suffered a cardiac arrhythmia which has ended his football career. As a result, the club must find a new option upfront and the upcoming winter transfer window will be the opportunity to bring one in.

There are players like Anthony Martial on the radar of the club, but the club must act due to the developing situation at Arsenal. Aubameyang will immediately settle into the side due to his goalscoring record and ability. Financially restricted FCB can also acquire his services cheaply and the prospect of playing for such a club would be too good to pass on for the striker.
