About
The towering left-back hails from the village of Lengpui in Mizoram. Making his debut for Shillong Lajong in the 2012/13 I-League season, he spent two seasons with the team before shifting to Bengaluru FC in 2014/15. That change meant he would be part of a squad that won the Federation Cup in 2015 besides finishing second in the 2014/15 I-League season. Lalchhuanmawia was a member of Bengaluru's failed qualification bid for the AFC Champions League when the Blues lost in extra time to Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim. In the 2015 ISL, he played nine matches for Mumbai City FC on loan. With his ability to pump the ball up the pitch, his presence in the back added a new dimension to Mumbai last season and he will look to create a similar impact with the Stallions during this season's defence.
