About
The acquisition of Wellington Priori to NorthEast United is certain to add steel to the Highlanders' midfield engine-room. The 26-year-old Brazilian began his professional football career with a three-year spell with Brasil de Farroupilha. He then enjoyed a short trial with Dutch Eredivisie side FC Twente who were interested in signing him but couldn't due to passport complications, which saw his move to Europe fall through. His first experience of football in Asia came with Thai Premier League side Army United. He has played for Thai Division 1 League team Pattaya United and K League Classic outfit Gwangju. The upcoming Hero ISL will be the first time Priori will be plying his trade on Indian shores.
