Transfer Gossip: Michy Batshuayi to Everton?
Rafael Leao is also considered as an alternative option for the side's attacking front.
Everton are in desperate need of a quality striker to stabilize their displays in the Premier League. The Toffees looked completely toothless in front of goal in their 2-0 loss to Fulham on Saturday evening.
It is rumoured that both of their star strikers Walcott and Richarlison might end their ties with them at the end of this season.
Walcott has been restricted to late cameos so far this season thus failing to get enough game time while Richarlison is rumoured to be under Liverpool's radar which makes Everton's search for a striker more and more aggressive.
According to The Express, Everton are pursuing Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi for a permanent deal. The Blues are ready to sell the Belgian striker for a massive £40m fee which is believed to be completely fine with the Toffees. Everton are not alone in this race as Serie A sides Fiorentina and Torino have also shown keen interest in acquiring the striker's services, but on a loan deal.
With Chelsea under a one-year transfer ban, the Blues might want to keep Batshuayi as a backup striker for the next season which surely makes the situation more worse for Everton. The Belgian international failed to make a permanent place in Chelsea's squad since his arrival at Stamford Bridge in 2016. Following his loan spells at Dortmund and Valencia, the striker is currently playing with Crystal Palace on a loan deal.

The youngster is having a great season with Ligue 1 side Lille having scored eight goals from mere 20 appearances so far this season. It is believed that if the deal with Batshuayi falls off then Everton might make Leao as their prime target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
After yesterday's defeat, Marco Silva's side sit at 9th position in Premier league table. The Toffees will next host Manchester United on Sunday 21st April.
