The Premier League is one of the most popular football leagues in the world. One particular area that attracts a lot of attention towards the competition is goalscoring and particularly hat-tricks. Scoring three goals in a game is no mean feat. But, several of the stars have managed to achieve this multiple times in their careers.

The Premier League is known for its entertaining and free-scoring brand of football. The league has witnessed some of the best attacking talents in the sport. Sergio Aguero, Thierry Henry and Wayne Rooney have all played and won multiple honours in the league. They have made their mark by scoring a plethora of goals in the competition.

Let’s have a look at players with the most hat-tricks in the Premier League

5. Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is fifth on the list. The English forward is Spurs’ leading scorer in the Premier League and seventh overall. Kane has scored eight hat-tricks in the Premier League. However, his last treble in the league came in December 2017.

Harry Kane is one of the best goalscorers of his generation. The Englishman has scored 171 goals in 267 appearances in the competition. He made his Premier League debut in April 2014. Kane has won the PL Golden Boot three times. He has also made it into the Premier League Team of the Season on five occasions.

4. Thierry Henry

The French star arrived at Arsenal in 1999 and sparked a revolution. He was the highest scorer during two of the Gunners' three Premier League-winning seasons. Thierry Henry is Arsenal’s leading goalscorer in the competition. The Frenchman netted 175 goals for the North Londoners.

Thierry Henry netted eight hat-tricks in his decade-long Premier League career. He won the PL Golden Boot four times. And was awarded as the league’s best player on two occasions. The Frenchman won two league titles with Arsenal. He also won two FA Cup and Community Shields.

Robbie Fowler is of the greatest goalscorers in Liverpool’s history. The Englishman is third on the list, with nine Premier League hat-tricks. He spent 10 years with the Reds over two separate spells.

The Englishman is also one of the top scorers in the history of the Premier League. Robbie Fowler is eighth on the list. He netted 163 goals in 379 league appearances and is Liverpool’s top scorer in the competition.

Fowler is best known for his spell with Liverpool. But, the Englishman has also played for the likes of Leeds United, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers.

2. Alan Shearer

The English forward has scored 11 hat-tricks in the Premier League. He is also the leading scorer in the history of the competition. Alan Shearer spent the majority of his career at Newcastle United. He is a legend at the club.

But, his most successful spell came with Blackburn Rovers. Alan Shearer led them to a Premier League title in 1994-95. This is the only PL title the club have won.

Alan Shearer came through the youth ranks of Southampton. He made 118 appearances for the Saints in the league. After this, the Englishman played for Blackburn, before joining Newcastle.

1. Sergio Aguero

The Argentine is one of the greatest players in the league’s history. He arrived in the Premier League in 2011 from Atletico Madrid. Sergio Aguero only played for Manchester City in the competition. He's the club’s leading scorer in the competition and fourth overall.

Sergio Aguero scored 184 goals in 275 appearances. He is also the highest-scoring foreigner in the league. The Argentine also netted the most hat-tricks on the competition with 12.

Aguero won the Premier League five times with Manchester City. He also won the FA Cup twice and the League Cup six times.
