Juventus clinch record league title, Cristiano Ronaldo sets another record
The Old Lady came from behind to beat Fiorentina as they romped to a further domestic crown.
Breaking records has been a norm for Cristiano Ronaldo and it has been that way throughout his career. On Saturday, he became the first player to lift league titles in England, Spain and Italy.
It was only a matter of time for Massimiliano Allegri's men to lift their eight successive league title, but a 2-1 win over Fiorentina got them over the line with a 20-point GAP TO second-placed Napoli.
Ronaldo joined Juventus last season in pursuit of a new challenge and HAS tasteD success in a third league. Before winning the Scudetto Ronaldo won the English Premier League three times with Manchester United and then went on to lift the La Liga title with Real Madrid twice.
Some other players have also come close to achieving this feat, starting with David Beckham who won the Premier League with Manchester United and the La Liga with Real Madrid, but in his loan spell at AC Milan the Rossoneri finished third in Serie A.
Similarly, Arjen Robben has had an illustrious career and the Dutchman boasts domestic success in four countries with PSV, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern. But, has not been tempted to ply his trade in Italy. Samuel Eto'o is another player who has a similar trophy cabinet with league title wins with Inter Milan and Barcelona, but missed out on the Premier League crown with Chelsea.
The Portuguese talisman has had a crucial role in the Bianconeri's league success as he has bagged 19 goals along with eight assists in Serie A so far this campaign. However, his influence was not enough to guide Allegri's men beyond the quarterfinals in both the Coppa Italia and Champions League, losing to Atalanta and Ajax respectively.

Ronaldo's current goalscoring rate at 122 has been pretty low, but it also suggests that it has not been a smooth journey in Turin for the Portuguese talisman. He also admitted that Serie A has proven to be his biggest challenge.

But this time again they fell short in front of Ajax in the quarterfinals. Allegri's men also lost out on the Coppa Italia.
Massimiliano Allegri is reportedly trusted by the Juventus management for another season in Turin. Hence, he will have another shot to end Juve's 22-year wait for European glory.
